What isTKI?

Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument

The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) has been a leading conflict management assessment used by professionals throughout the world to learn about how differing conflict handling styles affect personal and group dynamics.  TKI reports an individual's tendencies toward one of five styles of interacting during a disagreement.  They are:

Accommodating

Collaborating

Compromising

Competing

Avoiding

Each style has its appropriate and inappropriate times for use, and there are consequences for overusing or under-using each. These styles can also be used to understand any verbal interaction between individuals. Personal Selling Principles (PSP) would like to tell you more about our process and how it can benefit your company.
